We love these cacti drinks coasters from a fellow UK-designer Clive Roddy! Keep those coffee rings off your coffee table.

These rather amazing Cacti Coasters stack up into a perfect looking cactus when not in use. Well, I say perfect, I’m sure you could make them look nothing like a cactus…

These are a neat piece of design which not only become ornamental when connected in cactus form, but they can also be stacked away inside the terracotta pot if that’s your preference. When I look at it, I can’t help wanting to use it as a money box too…

The new Rubik’s Cube seat from surface tension

We’ve been extremely busy lately. We haven’t eaten, we haven’t slept, and none of our friends have seen us in months!

We’re now pleased to announce the launch of three new products. As with all other surface tension products, they are all produced in the UK.

First up is the Rubik’s Cube seat, which is also a table and a storage unit. Made from MDF, sprayed to a fine black finish and stickered with pantone-matched colours to give a real authentic over-sized feel… measuring 45cm³.
These are currently in manufacture and are available now for pre-order for Christmas delivery in the UK, Eire and Channel Islands only.

It has the old-skool retro Rubik’s logo on the side.

Our new drinkUP arcade button coasters

We’ve just had our sample sets of arcade button coasters in! There are a couple of colour tweaks to be done, but they are just about ready. They should be up on the site within a couple of weeks so make sure you check back here or on our website.

RetroGT will also be holding some stock at Replay this year as we won’t be attending.

PAC-MAN 8bit 8coaster set

Now I must admit to considering myself a bit of a coaster afficienado and was thrilled when I stumbled across these funky creations made by Melissa Giese at 8bitclassics

This PAC-MAN coasters set contains 8 coasters in total based on the iconic characters in the retro arcade game, including Mrs. PAC-MAN, PAC-MAN, PAC-MAN Jr, Blinky, Pinky, Inky, Clyde and even a frightened dark blue ghost. Each coaster has a pixel styled pattern originated from the arcade game.

The PAC-MAN themed coasters are made from perler beads, and measure 3.5 x 3.5 inches, apparently they can fit all kinds of mugs, of course, a PAC-MAN inspired mug would be perfect. What better way to keep your surface tension arcade coffee table protected than with one of these funky coasters.
